Description:

Cornerways Childrens Services Limited was established in 1989. Our home, Woodend, specialises in providing therapeutic care for an all-female client group aged 8-18 with emotional, behavioural, social difficulties and complex needs resulting largely but not exclusively from early life experiences of abuse, neglect and trauma. We currently have one home and an independent school.

We care for children who are likely to display a range of associated behaviours and are vulnverable to exploitation. Behaviours may include absconding, aggression towards others and environment, sexualised behaviour, self harm and suicidal ideation, substance misuse, criminal activity and anti-social behaviour. We work closely with a Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist.

We provide an environment wich is warm, supportive, nurturing and loving. with our therapeutic approach, staff and children have an open, transparent dialogue which enbale the children to gain insight into themselves, empowering change.

We ensure that the child's feelings, wishes and views are central to their plan of care, advocating for the child to ensure they are vauled and heard.
