Description:
Since 1997, Chances has been offering specialist therapeutic residential care for children and young people with complex individual needs and a range of diagnoses. We have an excellent reputation for supporting children and young people to achieve good outcomes.
Chances believes that the child is the primary focus and therefore sets out to treat each child as an individual and to promote and safeguard his/her welfare in every way. Some of our homes are established as a medium to long-term base for a child growing up and others provide a short-term base where specific tasks are achieved.
Chances homes create a homely and therapeutic milieu and work in partnership with children psychologically distressed by abuse/trauma, multiple placement breakdowns and children and young people who display some form of emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Staff training: – Experienced, committed staff team, mandatory training, additional specialised therapeutic training. We do not use agency staff.

includes full-time and out of hours therapists providing Psychotherapy/ Counselling/ Theraplay/ TA/CBT/Family Therapy/Emotional regulation
Individualised tailor made educational provision for children and young people who fail to thrive in mainstream education. We aim to reintegrate pupils into school with a learning support worker supplied by Chances to aid a smooth transition. Supported transition to 16+ further education.
