Description:
At 39 Clifton Road, we support children between the ages eight – sixteen with emotional or behavioural difficulties. 39 Clifton Road will be the home of up to five children, where we aim to create an environment where the children feel most importantly safe, loved, happy and cared for at all times through focussing on relational health and creating an environment that allows each child to thrive.
Children with emotional, behavioural or learning difficulties who have found themselves living in care will often have experienced some form of abuse or trauma. In most cases, supporting the child to be able to recover is key to them being able to thrive and fulfil their potential. Therefore, we will ensure that our ethos, staff team, training and core values are all designed and developed to understand the most empathetic, supportive and effective ways to help this recovery leading to positive outcomes for every child.
The support each individual child receives will be tailored to their personal needs and preferences but will be underpinned by an evidence-based ethos and model of approach to ensure stability and consistency. At the heart of the home will be a rhythm and routine which will allow for individualisation but will give children the consistency and boundaries they need to support a feeling of safety. We will allow each child the opportunity to enjoy positive experiences inside and outside of the home with a focus on building relationships with staff and between the children through shared enjoyment.
