Description:
The PLACE Young People’s Company provides specialist Therapeutic Care utilising a therapeutic parenting model of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy. We are based in rural Leicestershire and provide high quality, nurturing care for young people aged 6-18 to assist them to overcome past trauma and attachment difficulties. We currently have three 4 bedroomed and one 2 bedded
children’s home set in the beautiful countryside, providing a safe and nurturing environment for young people to develop and repair.
Our model and way of working provides high levels of support and structure for young people. Our homes and school have on site livestock (chickens, ponies etc.) to help young people’s attachment needs. We work hard to help young people repair and if possible, return to family settings or independent settings.
We have an Ofsted Registered school for young people aged 7-14, which provides attachment based learning which is 10 minutes from each of our homes. We also have NSCEP registered alternative education for young people.
The PLACE is run by three highly experienced directors and senior management team with extensive CAMHS, Social care and Residential experience. The homes and school are supported by our specialist services team and Therapeutic lead, including MBACP accredited child Psychotherapist. The team are trained in a range of accredited therapeutic interventions including MST, CBT, DBT, DDP, NLP and family therapy. The team provides consultation, support and training to the team and are also commissioned for specialist direct work and assessment.
