Specialist services: Therapeutic care packages for children and young people experiencing EBD, LD, ASD, challenging behaviours.1:1 placements, when necessary.
Other education provision: In-house home tuition provided, when required
Therapeutic provision: Individual therapeutic packages tailored to meet the child’s needs. Initial Psychological assessments for all placements. Therapeutic Behaviour Support Plans prepared by the external psychology team for all children in placement, which are regularly reviewed.

Step-A-Side was created in 1999 and has established an excellent reputation for providing high quality care and support services for children and younger adults.

Many of the young people living with, or supported by, Step-A-Side have a range of very complex needs, including emotional and behavioural difficulties, challenging behaviours, Autistic Spectrum
Disorders, inappropriate sexualized behaviours and complex physical / learning disabilities. We have extensively trained and experienced staff teams, who ensure that they receive the best quality care in stable and nurturing environments.

In addition to our residential children’s services, we offer both Supported Living Placements and ‘Outreach’ support services for 16+ year olds. These CQC registered services provide ‘outreach support’ for vulnerable children and their families in their own homes and bespoke, person-centered support packages for young people as they move into adulthood.
