Description:

Blossom House is a privately-owned Children’s Home. The home is registered for 2 young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and offers long-term residential placements for either genders. The age range of young people will be 8-18. We offer a welcoming and supportive home environment, which will ensure all the young people are valued as individuals. It is our belief that all young people are entitled to a high standard of care and we provide a warm, non-institutionalised homely environment. Allowing young people to experience being a child to thrive with consistent stable structures, and boundaries.  Through individualised care plans, we look to meeting their individual emotional and physical needs and provide a safe home environment.

Blossom House has a therapeutic approach to caring for our young people, having the opportunity to access our therapeutic services. Using activities such as drawing and talking, art and sand play to communicate in relation to their emotional wellbeing. Gaining coping strategies and techniques and the ability to reflect and build resilience to enhance their self-confidence and self-worth. Through ongoing assessing of their social, emotional/behavioural, physical and educational needs, Blossom house staff will support all young people to develop positive skills and understanding to achieve and reach their full potential.
