Kennet Care provides first class complex care solutions in children’s residential care. Our aim is to create a home away from home for every young person in our care which also supports a ‘living earning experience’, where everyday activities and interactions are considered, in a culture of enquiry to bring about positive lasting change.

Ours is a psychologically informed environment, informed by attachment theory and delivered by an established staff team, united by the common objective of providing a secure base from which our young people are able to explore the world; to develop as individuals and citizens; and to unlock their unique inner potential.

At present, Kennet Care operate a small single unit for four young people ages 8-17 years. We have experience of delivering care to traumatised young people and those who display challenging behaviours, including self-harm, substance misuse and eating disordered behaviours. We have excellent relationships with local education providers, CAMHS and healthcare professionals ensuring dynamic contribution to any multi-disciplinary care package. Our experienced team is supported through regular supervision from an external psychotherapist.

All care plans in line with the Quality Standards and Children’s home Regulations 2015 and feature therapeutic components individual to the young person.
